Miss Alyssa has been dancing since the age of 2, developing a strong passion for performing from an early age. Alyssa has competed extensively in Solo, Duo and Troupe competitions all over Sydney and has been selected on multiple occasions to compete at Showcase Nationals on the Gold Coast, where she achieved a Solo Finalist award. Miss Alyssa has performed at a variety of events and venues, including the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Darling Harbour’s King Street Wharf and Chinese New Year celebrations at Sydney Town Hall, as well as working on several promotional jobs. Alyssa has been a member of multiple dance companies, including Wild Hearts Dance Co, where she performed a 360-degree contemporary dance piece. Miss Alyssa was also selected for the Westfields Sports High School Junior and Senior Company where she had the opportunity to compete at Dance in the Spotlight and perform in School Spectacular.
Miss Alyssa has trained in a wide range of dance styles, including the RAD and BAL Ballet Syllabus, ADA Jazz and Tap Syllabus and Glenwood Tap Syllabus. Alyssa also is experienced in Lyrical, Contemporary, Hiphop, Musical Theatre and Acrobatics. Miss Alyssa completed her HSC Education at Westfields Sports High School as part of the Gifted and Talented Program, achieving a result of over 90 in Dance and receiving a Callback Nomination for her HSC Dance Composition.
Alyssa holds a TAFE Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching, strengthening her teaching foundation and professional understanding. Miss Alyssa has also been a Dance Captain within the Westfields Sports High School’s Dance Program, demonstrating effective leadership skills and has worked as an Assistance with Wild Hearts Co, mentoring children aged 8-12 to create an immersive concept film project. In addition to her dance qualifications, Alyssa is currently studying a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Sport Marketing and Management at the University of Wollongong, which enhances her understanding of the dance industry from both an artistic and commercial perspective.
Miss Alyssa is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and supportive space for her students. Alyssa holds all required certifications, including a Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR, Police Check and Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Training. Miss Alyssa’s love of dance continues to grow everyday and is committed to inspiring the younger generation of dancers by nurturing their passion, building confidence through movement and expression and helping them grow into empowered individuals within the dance world.
