We have a VERY exciting addition to our class schedule at Australian Dance and Drama Co this month. Circus classes have come to ADDCo!

Our two newest faculty members: Kirby Meyers and Kristi Wade, have both performed with CIRQUE DU SOLEIL! They are teaching our skilled ADDCo students trapeze, lyra and silks.

Kirby Myers

Kirby is an international aerialist, physical artist & coach.

Coming from a background of performance and dancing her way through childhood, Kirby completed a BA Communications Theatre/Media at Charles Sturt University where she fell in love with circus and physical performance. Kirby continued her study at Aerialize, Sydney Aerial Theatre, and Recontres de Danse Aerienne.

After graduating she began performing as an aerialist, stilt walker, character and puppeteer. Kirby has performed her captivating blend of elegant and eclectic acts extensively at festivals, launches, corporate functions & tours, as well as in theatre and film.

Kirby has also been part of a number of well-known international performance companies including Cirque Du Soleil and Cirque Eloize. She has performed around the world in Australia, Canada, Asia, The Middle East and Europe and has completed a world tour with TORUK: The First Flight.

Kristi Wade

Kristi is an internationally acclaimed aerialist and acrobat with an exceptionally vast repertoire. Her background includes circus arts, sports acrobatics, trampolining, contemporary dance and character work. Her specialty is Aerial Hoop.

From the early age of 9 years she has been training in circus arts worldwide at Cirque De La Vie and Aeralize – Sydney Aerial Theatre in Australia, Beijing International School of Arts, San Francisco Circus School and Studio Cirque to name a few.

Kristi’s extensive career began at the age of 13. Some of her highlights include performing at Pacha Sydney with the Squared Division, Sydney Fringe Festival, and a guest appearance on the Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon. As well as her employment with the worlds leading theatrical company; Cirque Du Soleil. This employment took her on a 4 year world tour to 27 countries, 103 cities and totalled 899 shows!
